For our July Event, we have a trip planned to go to Murphys, California, to have lunch and then do some wine tasting. This will be on Saturday, July 23rd (and 24th if you plan to spend the night). We will travel south from Carson City through Minden and Markleeville to catch CA 4 and travel over Ebbett's Pass. The trip is a total of 107 miles, and will take us about 3 hours driving time, with a couple of bathroom breaks. This trip was planned as an overnight option, so click on the wine glasses above for room rates and locations if you would like to spend the night.

We plan on meeting in Carson City (at the SaveMart on North Carson St. at College Parkway) at 7:30 AM and depart by 7:45 AM. This will get us to Murphys by about 11:00 AM, so that we will have some time to wander around and look at the shops before we have lunch. We plan on having lunch at the Grounds Restaurant. After lunch, everyone will be free to wander about town and do some wine tasting if you would like to do that, or just shop around before heading home.

If you are planning to spend the night, Rod can let those members know who else is spending the night if you want to meet together for dinner. He can make reservations for dinner if someone has a favorite place or would like to try something new. This should be a very scenic drive over the Sierras, and we will appreciate the cooler weather as we go over the summit.
